The
Triad Highlanders are a group of seasoned and not so seasoned
musicians that enjoy playing music. The Triad Highlanders are a
performance band and and perform throughout the Triad Region of North Carolina and
Southwest Virginia.
We also play Traditional Ceilidh music on a variety of
other instruments including, Small Pipes, Fiddle, Concertina, Bodhran, Whistles.

The
Triad Highlanders are made up of players of all ages
and skills and are bound by a Code of Conduct that
requires them at all times to maintain a positive image
and to be kind friendly and caring example to
all in the community.
We are not a teaching band so to speak but we do offer free instruction to folks who can already play the instruments. We do however have several instructors on board that will give private lessons for a very reasonable rate.

Mission Statement:
To promote and encourage education in the culture and advancement of Scottish, Irish and Celtic music both within and external to the local community. Provide support, primarily in the form of performances in the community and to educate people through our performances about piping and drumming as well as our Celtic heritage.Organize and sustain a performing band that represents our Celtic heritage and its sponsorship through band performances. Perform at local and area functions professionally, with pageantry and dignity.
